Posted by We are leaving the Rock City of Namsos behind and try to go to one of the most famous scenic roads in Norway called Kystveien. The drive to the scenic road is actually quite scenic in itself.
The drive actually takes us a bit inland. So you might think there wouldn’t be a lot of view of the water – but in northern Norway the water is never far away. Often you will be driving by a fjord – but when you turn inland and loose view of the fjord – the view of the salty water in the fjord is exchanged by fresh water in lakes and the occasional river.
We have great views of the different lakes on the way back to the water and we manage to find a few places to stop along the road.
