Posted by We come back to the Ring Road after our short detour into the highlands at Modrudalor farm. It is easy driving after we reach the nice surfaced road again. It doesn’t take long before we reach a little attraction right next to the road.
We turn off from the Ring Road and go for the short hike from the parking lot to a small waterfall – the Rjukandi Waterfall. It is a nice little waterfall to stop for a while and enjoy since we are passing right by. I guess you can’t have a day in Iceland without stopping at some sort of waterfall and enjoy the view of the falling water.
From the waterfall we continue down the Ring Road for a short while before we decide to turn off and go into the fjordland of East Iceland.
