We decided to try the hotel restaurant since we were staying in the hotel and all the food at this place cost the same at DKK 99 per dish (€13).
The noticed the place was buzzing and busier than the other restaurant in the hotel (Freia) we dined the night before. The rhythm and the décor were modern. The place was bigger and located next to the lobby hotel. This restaurant also served breakfast for hotel guests.
The service was a bit slow – probably it was busy on the weekend as we were waiting for awhile before the staff come to ask for our drinks and food order. This place offer cuisine from all over the word from pasta, hamburgers, calamaries, ceviche to charcuterie.
We decided to have 4 dishes for the two of us.
Crispy calamari with spicy chili dip, salad with sesame & wasabi dressing
Deep fried fish of the day with crispy fries & sauce tartar with cornichons & capers
Brioche bun with bacon onion relish, Danish “Gammel Knas” cheese & paprika-tomato relish
Grilled leg of pork with smokey BBQ sauce & coleslaw of seasonal salad.
I find, the crispy calamari and the deep fired fish was quite dry and oily, definitely not my favourite for the night. However, the grilled leg of pork was tender, tasty and delicious.
The food was not bad however out of league compare with the sister restaurant Freia next door.
