Windmills of Campo de Criptana
Some of the famous windmills of central Spain is found at Campo de Criptana. There used to be 30 or 40 windmills when Don Quixoto was writen but today only about ten remains.
Consuegra windmills
In the highlands of Spain just south of Madrid you will find a lot of windmills. Some of the most impressive windmills is located on a ridge just outside the village of Consuegra. If you got your own wheels it is well worth to go and visit the windmills.
