In the northern part of Jutland there are several good places to go and spot birds. One of these places is called Vejlerne and consists of a lot of wetland area where the water birds like to hang out. There are also other birds like a sea eagle which I spotted one in the far distance – too far away for the camera.

When we were exploring the area we passed by Vejlerne at several occasions and we stopped to watch the birds. There were a large variety of birds every time we stopped.

The area was quite popular so there was always somebody there looking of the birds. I don’t think we went in the prime bird season which would be the early spring or the fall with all the migratory birds resting here. But there was still a decent number of different species of birds on the water making it a worthwhile stop on the way to and from Thy National Park.
