Having a closer look at the old town

The bag didn’t arrive last night so there is no way to avoid some more serious emergency shopping today. We have to get replacements to take us through the next couple of days going on a short trip out of Quito. Unfortunately there isn’t the best shopping opportunities in the center of the town so we have to take a taxi ride to a big shopping center outside the historic part of the town to go and see what we can get there.

The shopping center is pretty big hence it has pretty much whatever you will need for a trip in South America. We spend some time going through numerous shops and getting the needed supplies. Unfortunately it takes a long time to get what we need and take the taxi to and from the center so it has cut in a bit to our time of exploring the city.

When we finally get back to town it is time to walk out and see a bit more of the old town. There are a lot of churches and small squares in the center so there is a lot to see. We are not really going anywhere particularly and just wonder around the old town enjoying the old houses of the city.
